CPP40719 Certificate IV in Security Management
Course Aims & Objectives
This qualification reflects the roles of individuals responsible for the provision of security consultancy and security management services. Achievement of this qualification meets the licensing requirement to apply for a Private Security Business License for the Activities of Security and Crowd Control with the Victoria Police Licensing and Regulation Division
Entry Requirements & Prerequisites
There are no formal entry requirements for persons seeking enrolment into this qualification. Technical Advanced Training requires that all learners seeking enrolment into this qualification have an appropriate level of written and spoken English suitable for employment within the Vocational Education and Training sector. These skills are assessed by way of a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Assessment during the enrolment process.
Assessment and Course Duration
Students will be required to be assessed in this program to demonstrate they have achieved the skills and knowledge set out in the competency standards/modules. Assessments include open workbook questions, case studies and project work. Face to face classes are scheduled for four (4) hour evening sessions. A typical delivery timeframe for this course will consist of one evening class per week for a period of 24 weeks, 6 months. Alternatively, two evening classes per week for a period of 12 weeks maybe implemented.
Resources & Facilities
Students will be provided with the required learning resources and equipment. Classes will be conducted as required in an appropriate learning environment. This program is delivered via a combination of face to face training sessions and self-paced individual directed study. Learners have access to a trainer and assessor by phone from 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. If additional support is required outside of scheduled class times, learners are encouraged to make an appointment to attend one of Technical Advanced Training’s campuses, in order to have a face-to-face meeting with a trainer and assessor.
