The CPP31318 Certificate III in Security Operations (Control Room, Screening and Baton & Handcuffs) course is the direct pathway for students who have completed the CPP20218 course and have a valid security licence.

Majority of security organizations will require and appreciate the qualification of a Certificate III in Security Operations as a mandatory part of their employment requirements because it is an extension of your knowledge in additional fields for example, Control Room / Monitoring Centre Operations, Screening people at checkpoints and determining a response to security risk situations using baton and handcuffs. These are the critical components to the course and on the job.

Course Duration

The Certificate III in Security Operations (Control Room, Screening and Baton & Handcuffs) course will consist of 31 days full-time attendance Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm. Evening classes will run for 62 nights Monday to Friday from 6.00pm to 10.00pm.

All TAT instructors are fully recognised by the Licensing and Regulation Division of Victoria Police. Further, they have years of proficiency and maintained current competency in security industry thus providing ongoing industry skills and knowledge to potential security officers.

The Checkpoint Screening units are a skill set of the Certificate II/III in security operations.


How much will the course cost for Government Funded eligible students?

Students eligible for Government Subsidised Training as part of the Skills First Program for the Certificate III in Security Operations is only required to pay:

How much will the course cost for a full fee paying student?

For full fee paying students the CPP31318 Certificate III in Security Operations course will cost $3000.00. A minimum deposit of $250.00 is required prior to course commencement.


How do l Enrol?

To enrol in this course you will need to attend in person to our Broadmeadows Office and complete an enrolment application together with a Pre-Training Review / Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) form.
