Checkpoint Screening (Security Screening Officer)

The screening course will be designed to provide training for existing security license holders to gain specialized employment in the security industry as a Security Screening Officer. It will assist students in undertaking routine for screening duties and to follow established practices in workplaces that have isolated areas.

Course Duration

Day Classes

Checkpoint Screening course is delivered over three (3) days, face to face with self-paced learning, 8.30am to 12.30pm. Last day of the class is an ALL day face to face training.

Evening Classes

Checkpoint Screening course is delivered over four (4) nights, face to face with self-paced learning, 6.00pm to 10.00pm. All TAT instructors have years of proficiency and continue to maintain current competency in the screening industry.

The units of competence and nominal hours for completion are as follows:

Organisations that have high risk entry points require and appreciate incoming Security Officers to have prior training experience in Screening. Therefore, the Screening units delivered in our Screening program are the following unit of competencies:

Carry, operate and maintain revolvers for security purposes

How much will the course cost for a full fee paying student?

The screening program will cost $700.00 consisting of a minimum deposit of $250.00 prior to course commencement.

How do l Enrol?

To enrol in this course you will need to attend in person to our Broadmeadows Office and complete an enrolment application together with a Pre-Training Review / Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) form.
