CPP31318 Certificate III in Security Operations (Armed Guard / Cash-in-Transit)

To qualify for the above program it is a requirement to have a current Security license.

The aim of the Certificate III in Security Operations (Armed Guard / Cash-in-Transit) Licensing program is to develop student understanding in providing operational security services in the context of high risk asset protection.

What will students study?

Upon completion of the Certificate III in Security Operations (Armed Guard / Cash-in-Transit) students will gain competency in the following units:

What employment opportunities will students have?

The Certificate III in Security Operations (Armed Guard / Cash-in-Transit) allows the Armed Security Officer to provide their enhanced skills and knowledge necessary to a larger capacity of security operations and operational safety for companies that provide cash logistics.

Duration of Course and Starting Dates

CPP31318 Certificate III in Security Operations (Armed Guard / Cash-in-Transit) course is delivered in 19 working days from 8.30am – 5.00pm or 40 evenings from 6pm – 10pm. All training is conducted Monday to Friday from our Broadmeadows training rooms. Additional workplace based tasks and workbooks are to be completed in your own time. How much will the course cost for Government Funded eligible students?

Students eligible for Government Subsidised Training as part of the Skills First Program for the Certificate III in Security Operations is only required to pay:

  • Skills First Program Eligible Concession $80 (including all workbooks) OR

  • Skills First Program Eligible Standard $400 (including all workbooks)

How much will the course cost for a full fee paying student?

For full fee paying students the CPP31318 Certificate III in Security Operations (Armed Guard / Cash-in-Transit) course will cost $2250. A minimum deposit of $500.00 is required prior to course commencement for securing your enrolment position.

If you already have completed an updated Certificate III in Security Operations course and only required to do add on units then the price below will apply:

  • Baton and Handcuffs $350

  • Cash in Transit Units $300

  • Armed Guard Units $1000

  • Annual Firearm Re-Qualification $400 (RV or SA)/ $600 (RV and SA)

How do l Enrol?

To enrol in this course you will need to attend in person to our Broadmeadows Office and complete an enrolment application together with a Pre-Training Review / Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) form.
