The screening course will be designed to provide training for existing security license holders to gain specialized employment in the security industry as a Security Screening Officer. It will assist students in undertaking routine for screening duties and to follow established practices in workplaces that have isolated areas.

Screening course is a four (4) day face to face program, Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm. Evening classes run eight (8) nights, Monday to Friday from 6.00pm to 10.00pm.
All TAT instructors have years of proficiency and continue to maintain current competency in the screening industry.

Organisations that have high risk entry points require and appreciate incoming Security Officers to have prior training experience in Screening. Therefore, the Screening units delivered in our Screening program are the following unit of competencies:
||Apply x-ray image interpretation procedures|
||Apply walk through metal detection procedures|
||Apply hand-held metal detection procedures|
||Apply explosive trace detection (ETD) procedures|
These units are a skill set of the Certificate I/II in Security Operations.
How much will the course cost for a full fee paying student?
The screening program can cost $550 during the day or $650 in the evenings consisting of a minimum deposit of $150.00 prior to course commencement. This deposit is non-refundable.
Government Funded Eligible Students
Student’s eligible for Government Subsidised Training as part of the Victorian Training Guarantee (VTG) for the Screening course can complete our Certificate III in Security Operations course in Screening and Control Room. This can cost as little as:
